SAN FRANCISCO, January 24, (THEWILL) – In order to ensure healthy and wealthy communities, the Delta State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Nicholas Azinge has provided people of Ward 8 in Oshimili South Local Government Area of Delta State with free health care services.

Speaking at the occasion of the inauguration of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Cell leaders at Ward 8, Oshimili South Local Government Area, Dr. Azinge assured all present of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s commitment at delivering on his campaign promises of prosperity for all Deltans, the unfavourable economic conditions being experienced across the country notwithstanding.

He called on Deltans to join hands with the administration of Okowa in building an enviable Delta State through their continuous support of the SMART Agenda and in their own capacity, complement the numerous efforts of the state government.

A large number of persons took advantage of the Commissioner’s free clinic at the venue of the inauguration and at a point, seeing the crowd waiting to be attended to, Dr. Azinge himself joined the team of Doctors and Nurses in consulting with patients.

Services provided at the occasion included free health screening for blood pressure, blood sugar; etc. free provision of prescribed medications and; referral of several persons to health facilities for the continuation of care.

Wrappers and other items were also distributed to women and youths at the venue.
