It’s bad enough that some self-declared “moral majority” is waging a holy war in the U.S. political system. It’s far, far worse, though, when people in that movement don’t practice what they preach.
Take Ted Cruz’s campaign, for example. The same presidential candidate who lists religion to be the focal point of his campaign – who claims the Ten Commandments supersede the U.S. Constitution – and whose wife just told media that her husband should be elected “to show this country the face of the God that we serve” – just launched a new commercial that featured a soft-porn star.
That same pretty-faced lady is none other than Amy Lindsay, though. And that same Amy Lindsay is better known for starring in soft-porn classics like “Kinky Sex Club,” “MILF,” “Erotic Confession,” “Sex Sent Me to the ER,” and “Carnal Wishes.”
After conservative media spotted Lindsay in the ad, the Cruz campaign quickly pulled it from distribution. Not before I got my hands on the video, though; here it is below:
“The actress responded to an open casting call. She passed her audition and got the job. Unfortunately, she was not vetted by the casting company. Had the campaign known of her full filmography, we obviously would not have let her appear in the ad. The campaign is taking the ad down and will replace it with a different commercial.”
Even worse, The Daily Caller already has its own similar history. In 2013, it released a scoop story that claimed Sen. Bob Menendez (D-New Jersey) paid prostitutes in the Dominican Republic for sex. Actual U.S. media researched the story, but quickly found it to be false. Law enforcement from that Caribbean island investigated the alleged crime, too, only to find out that the ladies in question were paid by a representative of The Daily Caller to make that false claim.
To have in-depth knowledge in the field of pornography and to attempt a set-up scenario of prostitutes and politicians? How immoral can the Moral Majority media get?
As for Lindsay? She’s not happy about this, either, especially since she identified herself to Buzzfeed as “a Christian conservative and a Republican.” And while she first supported Cruz, now Lindsay’s leaning towards Donald Trump.
She’s expressing her disappointment in this call-out on social media, too, including this recent tweet:
