Man Shoots Subway Employees Over ‘Too Much Mayo’, Manager Returns Fire

An act of senseless violence occurred at an Atlanta Subway on Sunday, leaving one Employee dead and another in critical condition.

Around 6:30 PM on Sunday, a man entered a Subway that is attached to a gas station in Downtown Atlanta, GA. His reason? To complain that his sandwich had too much mayonnaise. An argument ensued, and the suspect drew a gun and shot at two employees, hitting both of them. One employee died from her wounds and also had a 5-year-old son in the store when the shooting happened. The other employee was transported to the hospital and is in critical condition.

Local media reported that the Subway manager drew a gun and returned fire but didn’t hit the suspect.

The police were able to catch up with the suspect, who is now in custody.

And this is a perfect example of why we carry. I’m glad the manager was carrying at the time but it is unfortunate that he wasn’t able to stop the threat before the suspect was able to shoot the two employees.
