2018 World Cup Series converges on the Grove

Regatta Park is hosting more than 500 sailors from 50 nations for the second of four regattas in Sailing’s 2018 World Cup Series. Held from January 21-28, 2018, racing is being held in all ten of the Olympic events. Here are some scenes from this week.

On Saturday and Sunday, January 27 to 28 from 11 am to 4 pm, the Medal Races will be streamed live to a Jumbotron in Regatta Park as part of the World Cup Series Sailing Festival, which will also include food trucks and the US Sailing Education Zone. The public is welcome and there's no charge to attend the festival.

The Education Zone will provide fun learning activities for youth patrons as part of the US Sailing Reach Initiative for STEM education and sport outreach. The Education Zone activities will focus on hurricanes and their impact, connecting youth to sailing, stewardship, and the local waters of Miami. Through interactive and hands-on activities, children will have the opportunity to learn about science, technology, engineering and mathematics through the sport of sailing. US Sailing partnered with Sailors for the Sea, University of Miami and Harken to create the Education Zone experience.
