Yesterday was New Year's Eve, and for the Party we went to, I made Sam's Artichoke-y Red Pepper dip from Just a Bunch of Recipes.
This was meant to be made in the oven and then served. However, I prepped this in the late morning and stashed it in the refrigerator for a few hours, and then transferred it to my Crock Pot on low for a few hours before the party. When we got to the party, I cranked the pot up to high.
What did I learn from this recipe?
Amazingly enough, I was not impressed at all with this dip. Sadly, it tasted fairly bland as a dip. I served it with bagel chips.
It is a chunky dip, and I even added hearts of palm to it. But really, it's not so much of a dip as it would be a topping.
In fact, I think this would be so much better suited as a topping for some sort of pasta.
