Wagga Wagga UFOs & Alien Beings
A person named Mat wrote to tell JLB of his strange experiences:
“I have a story I would like to share with you that happened to me when I was younger. I was 17 years old when this happened. I lived with my parents on a farm outside the Australian town of Wagga Wagga. I was in bed and a strange feeling I can't fully explain woke me up. The time was around midnight roughly. I felt a great sense of unease as I looked toward my bedroom window into the darkness of night. Not long after a bright light that looked like it came down from the sky appeared. At first I thought it was a car passing by as we live next to the road, but I quickly excused that possibility as the light hung around. This is where things start to get a little unbelievable.
I began hearing foot steps outside on the gravel, and I was shocked that our dogs didn't pick up on this and start barking. The footsteps came from the paddock next door and walked down our driveway and up the veranda steps out the back. I could hear who ever this was walking around outside our home, shifting things as it bumped into them. I then heard second footsteps in the gravel outside my room. Soon after the first being appeared outside my window, and the second then jumped up over the veranda railing and stood next to the first. Their forms blocked the light shining in and I could make them out to be somewhat tall and incredibly thin. The two creatures hung around for about 30 minutes pacing back and forth around the house before they finally left, and I heard the foot steps get softer, jump the fence and then the mysterious light lifted off into the sky. I had just gone to bed so I know it wasn't my subconscious playing tricks on me, I was still well enough awake.
The next night, another strange occurrence happened. I remember it being eerily silent. So quiet in fact that it made me increasingly paranoid as the night went on. I don't recall what time this happened but I remember the only sound I could hear that night was a strange sort of deep rumbling passing over head. It would circle over the house, and too the far back paddock and continued to do so for an hour before the rumbling moved over head for the last time out the back and vanished.
A few years later... I finished school. Before moving into my own place, I had to get up very early in the mornings to drive to work. I woke up at 3am as usual, packed my bag, ate breakfast etc. I was driving into work when I noticed a bright light in the sky. The light fell behind some of the hills to my right and when I looked ahead I swear I saw a figure of a man running across the road in the darkness. I saw it roughly 5 meters away from me as it moved off the road it appeared to just vanish as if it went translucent.
If that wasn't enough, I was at the bar with my sister working as a bartender, and one of the locals walked in we were casually just talking and I told him what I saw and he mentioned to me that a few nights after my encounter, he started getting strange occurrences, waking up after midnight too his dogs barking. He finally went to investigate the strange bright lights in the next door paddock but his dogs wouldn't follow. He walked to the paddock where he claimed to have seen these lights hovering above ground. When he got there the lights shot off into the sky and all was left was a ring of mutilated livestock forming a perfect circle. He was confused and ran back home and never spoke of what he saw until I mentioned it too him.
After these events I never doubted stories told to me by friends and people I met who claimed to have seen UFOs and aliens and I have never since questioned the existence of extraterrestrials. Anyway that's my story, I know what I saw those nights. I don't normally talk about it because people aren't very open to the concept of aliens and UFOs. Whether you believe me or not is up to you honestly, I just felt like sharing my experiences with you."
NOTE: the area in and around Wagga Wagga, NSW has a history of UFO and other strange events (including 'raining spiders). I found the following report from 1998:
JANUARY 5, 1998 – WAGGA WAGGA, AUSTRALIA
The witness was driving her husband, who finished work at midnight, and her baby daughter from their home in Wagga Wagga to her parent’s home at Jamberoo, near Kiama, for the weekend. Shortly after leaving Wagga on the Hume Hwy with her husband and baby asleep, a large brightly luminous disc shape UFO appeared in the sky ahead of her at an estimated 300-400 metres distance.
The object stayed in this position while she drove approx. 120 km., disappearing as she went through towns, and appearing again on the other side of the town. It mostly stayed relatively still but occasionally shot off at great speed to the left or right only to return seconds later to the same position. The object disappeared just north of Goulburn as the dawn was lightening the sky. It rapidly gained altitude until out of sight in seconds. There was no interference with the normal operation of the car, according to the witness and the amount of traffic she remembers was normal for that time of morning.
Supposedly after having great difficulty waking her husband at one point, he glanced at the object, mumbled “yeah yeah” and was immediately asleep again. Normally on this trip she would stop at Yass for an hour’s break for coffee and arrive at Jamberoo at about 7- 7.30am. This time, on arrival she was genuinely surprised to find the trip had taken 1.5 to 2 hours longer than normal, even without the break at Yass.
No subsequent sickness or body markings were noticed and as the witness suspected no abduction at that time no further investigation was undertaken until reported to Paradox in 1997.
REPORT STATUS:
Celestial records show no planet, star or even the moon, which could have explained the sighting. The lack of reaction from other traffic could indicate the phenomenon was a purely subjective one, however, until further evidence is forthcoming the case will remain as UNEXPLAINED.

Nude Clown Chasing Cars
A woman was arrested Thursday after numerous witnesses called 911 to report that a partially nude woman wearing clown makeup was chasing cars and jumping in and out of traffic on a country road in Cunningham, Tennessee.
Candice A. Kreidel, 37, was charged with disorderly conduct, public intoxication and making non-emergency 911 calls.
According to an arrest warrant, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the scene after "a series of calls about a white female wearing clown-like makeup, a stocking cap, and was either partially or completely nude that was running up and down Louise Road, chasing cars and jumping out in front of other cars."
While a deputy was on the way to the scene, 911 received four calls from Kreidel "in which call takers were berated, threatened and cursed," the warrant states.
When the deputy went to Kreidel's home on Louise Road, he found her in a sports bra, pajama-style bottoms, a stocking cap and wearing clown makeup on her face and body. She was also holding a beer.
Kreidel first denied being on the road but later admitted she had been running up and down the road in traffic, the warrant states.
When asked why she called 911 and berated dispatchers, she said it was because "they need to do their jobs."
Kreidel was determined to be intoxicated and a danger to herself and others and booked into the Montgomery County Jail on $1,500 bond. - Partially-naked female clown charged with chasing cars

French Town Bans UFOs
The town has long refused to lift a ban on UFOs following a mysterious encounter over 60 years ago.
Situated in the south of France around 7.5 miles to the north of Avignon, Châteauneuf-du-Pape remains a firm tourist favorite in the region due to its idyllic setting and ruined medieval castle.
Perhaps the most notable thing of all about the town however is its bizarre UFO law which forbids extraterrestrial vehicles from flying overhead or landing within the vicinity.
"Any aircraft, known as flying saucer or flying cigar, which should land on the territory of the community will be immediately held in custody," the law reads.
It was established in 1954 after a local man reported witnessing two 'deep sea divers' emerging from a 'cigar-shaped spacecraft' in the local area.
These days the law is regarded as more of a light-hearted curiosity than a serious legal restriction and the mayor, Claude Avril, refuses to lift it on the basis that it 'makes a buzz' for the town.
Even the original implementation of the law was believed to have been a publicity stunt.
"At that time, people were talking a lot about extraterrestrials and the unknown, it was in fashion, and there were loads of stories circulating," said Elie Jeune, son of then-mayor Lucien Young.
"He wanted to make a bit of an advertisement for Châteauneuf."

Strange, 6.5-Foot Sea Creature Found in New Zealand
Museum officials have identified a strange sea creature whose remains were recently located on New Zealand's Waitarere Beach.
Earlier this week, veterinarian Maria Lombard uploaded to Facebook photos of the fascinatingly long creature's remains, which garnered significant local media attention:
Lombard used a measuring tape to size up her unexpected find, which was over 2 meters, or 6.5 feet, long.
In a follow-up tweet, curators from the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa revealed that the cartilaginous mass once comprised the brain case and vertebrae of a New Zealand smooth skate (Dipturus innominatus), a bottom-dwelling animal found throughout the waters surrounding the island nation.
The IUCN currently considers the species Near Threatened, as it is often caught by trawl fisheries as bycatch. While the species is relatively abundant, it reproduces slowly and is frequently caught before reaching sexual maturity, making it more vulnerable to the impacts of overfishing
