In recent days, much of the mainstream media has been reporting that Russian military intelligence [GRU] was paying the Taliban to kill US and possibly other Western service personnel?

Having both read the reports and spoken myself to my intelligence contacts I can report that there is little real evidence to support the claim.

Whether true or not, both Russia and the Taliban have needless to say denied the allegation, followed closely by US President, Donald Trump who has vehemently denied any knowledge of the matter.

The White House has issued a press statement that the subject never reached as high as the president or indeed vice-president. Mike Pence because there was no concrete evidence according to the US Intelligence network.

This however, has not deterred the US mainstream media posting various reports claiming that the US military had seized "significant amounts of cash" that have since been traced to Moscow and claiming "sources" have evidence that Russian agents had indeed offered the Taliban bounties. They have also reported that the intelligence analysis was included in the Presidents daily intelligence briefings.
