The vaults of the state's first Tirupati Balaji Temple in Jammu city will be opened for devotees from today in the presence of the Lt. Governor. After this devotees can worship Lord Venkatesh. Eight and six feet idols of Lord Venkateswara were installed in the temple yesterday.

The temple was constructed at a cost of 32 crores
The Tirupati Balaji Temple, constructed at a cost of Rs 32 crores on 62 acres of land in Majin village of Siddhana in Jammu city, was worshiped and installed by around 45 scholars from Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday, along with Vedic chants. Meanwhile, a large number of devotees had gathered. The temple has been decorated with colorful flowers and lights for the religious program to be held today and an 8 feet tall idol of Lord Venkateswara has been installed in the main sanctum sanctorum of the temple with Vedic chants.
Granite was used in the construction of the idol
The temple uses granite in the construction of the idol which is brought from Guntur city in Andhra Pradesh and the temple is built on the lines of Tirupati Balaji temple. The religious rituals were going on since May 6, when the special worship of the idol's Prana Pratishta started in the temple. While the city of Jammu is very important in terms of religious tourism, now devotees who visit Maa Vaishno Devi can also visit Tirupati Balaji in Jammu. Increasing religious tourism will also provide employment to local people.
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthan Board got the construction done
Tirupati Balaji Temple is constructed by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthan Board. In the first phase, a temple of Lord Balaji, accommodation for priests and board staff, toilets and parking were constructed. In the second phase, a Veda Pathashala, a spiritual center will be built. Made by over 50 artisans from Andhra Pradesh itself. The foundation stone of the temple was laid in June 2021.
Tirupati Balaji temple will be in every state
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Board Chairman YV Subba Reddy while inspecting the ongoing construction during his visit to Jammu announced that a temple of Lord Venkateswara would be established in every state. After Andhra Pradesh, the temple will be built in Jammu and Kashmir, Hyderabad, Delhi, Kanyakumari, Chinani, Bhubaneswar and similar temples will also be built in Mumbai, Raipur and Ahmedabad.
