Bangladesh's Pyra Power Plant has also been shut down. The energy sector consultant of Bangladesh says that the government cannot buy electricity or pay for power plants. Power crisis has stopped the industrial activities of the country. The government is not taking this crisis seriously.

Severe shortage of fuel

According to the latest information, out of 154 power plants in Bangladesh, 64 plants were partially or completely shut down due to various reasons and especially fuel shortage. Only 21 power plants were running at their full capacity on Tuesday.

A situation like Pakistan

Like Pakistan, Bangladesh's Foreign Exchange is also decreasing. By the end of March, the country's foreign exchange reserves had reached $31.14 billion, the lowest level since December 2016. The government also appealed to Bangladeshis living abroad to remit large sums of money to the country. However, the condition of Bangladesh is much better than that of Pakistan, because Pakistan has only 4.1 billion dollars of foreign exchange left.
