He said that the country's laws should be strict so that incidents related to Human Trafficking do not take place. Dhaliwal also appealed to the people of Punjab to check the record of the college and travel agent before visiting or sending their children to any country.

In response to a question, he said that the case of a youth sentenced to death in Indonesia is resuming from June 26 and it is hoped that the youth will be acquitted in this case. He said that the Indian Ministry of External Affairs had shared this information with him the previous day and that he was taking up the matter with the Indonesian government.
