Two jawans of CRPF 85 battalion have been Injured in an Ied Blast Planted by Naxalites in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, they have been shifted to Raipur for first aid. Police officials said that CRPF personnel of 222nd and 85th battalions left from Pusnar this morning. The jawans were moving towards Gangalur, meanwhile, at 10.30 am, Naxalites detonated an IED near Takameta Hill. Due to this, Vishal, Rifan Sahu of 222nd Battalion and Amit Kumar of 85th Battalion were injured.
Among the injured soldiers, Vishal has sustained hand and leg and Internal Injuries. Rifan Sahu has sustained internal injuries in his neck. While Amit Kumar of 85th Battalion is seriously injured. His leg was badly damaged by the blast. Apart from this, chest and internal injuries have also occurred. Preparations are being made to refer the three jawans to Raipur after first aid.

Last month, the police arrested eight Naxalites in the Aranpur Naxalite attack in Dantewada area of Chhattisgarh. Continuous action is being taken by the police and security forces. So far 17 naxalites have been arrested. Naxalites and suspects involved in the incident are being continuously hunted down by intensive Naxalite patrolling in the area and others are also being interrogated.
