Ill Prepared Govt Trying To Cut The Session Short: Yashpal Arya

Tuesday, 29 November 2022 | PNS | DEHRADUN

The Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Assembly Yashpal Arya has said that the BJP government of Uttarakhand is afraid of facing the House. Talking to The Pioneer on Monday he said that the ill prepared government is trying to keep the session short in order to escape from the questions of the members and the fury of the opposition. He informed that the government is using the lack of business in the house as a shield.

Arya demanded that the session should at least be held for five days as planned earlier so that all the issues of public interest are addressed by the house. He said that the Congress party would raise the issues of recruitment scams in Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) and other departments, the pathetic law and order situation in the State, compensation to the disaster affected families, payment of dues to the sugarcane farmers and other issues in the house. He claimed that there are plenty of important issues and the Congress members are fully prepared for the Assembly.
