Senate President, Ahmad Lawan has assured that Nigeria’s 2020 budget will be passed before the end of the year.
He said this while speaking with newsmen after a meeting with Governor Aminu Bello Masari in Katsina.
Lawan had earlier visited Buhari in Daura.
The Senate President explained that the National Assembly is expecting the budget in September.
He said that “the process would return Nigeria to the annual budget of between January to December”.
Lawan further assured that the ninth Assembly would pass the Petroleum Industry Bill for the oil and gas sector to be given the desired reform.
He added that the National Assembly would ensure effective reformations in the education, agriculture and other sub-sectors of the economy.
