Legon Cities appoint Bashiru Hayford as new head coach
Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities Football Club have appointed Bashiru Hayford as their new head coach following the sacking of Goran Barjaktarevic.
The Royals confirmed the dismissal of Goran Barjaktarevic earlier today after a poor start to the season.
Bashiru Hayford, who has vast experience in the Ghanaian Premier League, will be heading the technical department of Legon Cities until the end of the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.
Legon Cities despite bringing in marquee signings to their set up are without a win this season and lost heavily by 3-0 to Great Olympics in Week Two at the Accra Sports Stadium.
“Coach Bashiru Hayford is renowned for his tactical prowess and we are confident that his wealth oof experience would take the team to the very high standards set by the Board and Management,” part of the club’s statement reads.
