Nigerian singer Burna Boy, popularly known as the African Giant has been nominated for the 62nd Grammy Awards.
Burna Boy’s fourth album titled ‘African Giant’ which was released in July 2019 made it into the Best World Album category.
The Nigerian singer was nominated alongside Altin Gün for the album, ‘Gece’, Bokanté & Metropole Orkest’s ‘Conducted’, Angelique Kidjo’s Celia, By Jules Buckley for What Heat, and Nathalie Joachim With Spektral Quartet for Fanm D’Ayiti.
Burna Boy has had a good musical year with the launching of his album which has hit songs like ‘Anybody’, ‘Gum Body’, ‘On the Low’ and many others.
He has also performed on some big stages across the world including his African Giant concert which took place at the Wembley SSE Arena in London..
The 2019 Grammy Awards show is scheduled to take place on January, 2020 and is to be hosted by Alicia Keys.
