Biden Assures Allies Of US Reliability In AUKUS Deal

At 1:12 pm local time in San Diego, American, British, and Australian press members were brought into a room with President Joe Biden, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, and United Kingdom Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. Their respective delegations stood behind them.

The room displayed a large AUKUS sign and the flags of the three countries. Upon the journalists’ entry, the leaders were engaged in a quiet conversation but did not make any public remarks.

A reporter soon asked President Biden if the US could be trusted to deliver on the Aukus Deal. “We can always be relied upon,” Biden replied, declining to answer any further questions.

The meeting is underway.
