Police warns against use of fireworks, explosives

The Adamawa State Police Command has reminded the general public that the ban on the use of fireworks such as knockouts, bangers and other forms of explosive is still enforce.

In a press Statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) SP Othman Abubakar said the Command in collaboration with other security Agencies have put in place adequate security majors to ensure hitch free Easter celebration.

The statement further advised parents to warn their children to refrain from any unlawful act as the Police and other security agencies would clamp down on any violation.

The statement then wishes to facilitate with the Christians faithful in Adamawa State in the recently concluded Easter.

The statement also advised residents of the State capital and other cosmopolitan areas  to be on watch during and after the occasion by saying something when they see something unusual to enable the Police take prompt action.

It reminded the security forces to always be on the alert in order to quickly respond to distress calls and expressed appreciation to officers and men of the Adamawa State Command for their untiring effort in combating crime in the State.
