Lawmaker to renovate dilapidated primary school

The member representing Verre constituency at the State House of Assembly Hon. Abdullahi Umar Yapak has vow to renovate the dilapidated Wuro Lamido Primary School in Mayo-Ine Development Area in line with the declaration of state of emergency on education by Governor Muhammad Umar Jibrilla

The lawmaker stated this in an exclusive interview with The Scope in Wuro Lamido primary school when he paid unscheduled visit to the school. Hon. Yapak said Governor Muhammad Umar Jibrilla constructed and renovated 110 schools in the State, and promised the construction of another 68 schools in this year 2018.

He said that he has pushed forward request to see that all dilapidated schools and other public infrastructure in his constituency are constructed According to him, as a representative of people, he has made the issues affecting his people as his first priority at the State House of Assembly.
Hon. Yapak who is a Chairman House Committee on Education said many public schools have been renovated in his constituency among them were Kugi, Legga Baru, Yadim, Wuro Dutse primary schools among others .

According to him the school that would be renovated in second batch are Mayo Sirkam, Kiri, Sabon Pegi, Kabillo, and Wuro Lamido primary schools.
Apart from schools the lawmaker said he has drilled over 37 hand pump boreholes and rehabilitate many in his constituency in order to ease the water shortage in the areas.

Hon. Yapak appeal to the people of the community to support Bindow led administration for more dividends of democracy to flourish in the community.

He explained that the present government under the leadership of Governor in an interview with the Assistant Headmaster Mr. Ezra Wakili said that the school, is faced with problem especially during rainy season, because of the bad nature of the roof, no single class room or office remains in good shape, no furniture at the whole school, in fact no functional teaching material in the school.
He call on the present government to come to their aid by renovating the school and supply teaching materials to boost the morale of staff and students.
