Buhari restates commitment to fight corruption

President Muhammadu Buhari has emphasized his sense of duty regarding the battle against defilement and other social indecencies which have upset the improvement of the nation.

Buhari made the vow in Daura, Katsina State, on Monday when he got individuals from Daura Elders Committee who paid him a kindness visit.
“We will not relent in our efforts to free this country from corrupt practices, insurgency and maladministration,’’  he guaranteed.

The president asked Nigerians to fear God, be simply and reasonable in their open and private engagements.

He expressed gratitude toward individuals from the board of trustees for the visit and included: "we are committed and determined to entrenching democratic values.''

Prior, the Chairman of the advisory group, Alhaji Lawal Aliyu, told the president that they were at his home to congratulate with him and wish him well.

Aliyu, who holds the customary title of Ubandoman Daura, said the board had dependably petitioned God for the prosperity of the president and Nigeria.
"We are happy that you are home and in high spirits," he said.
