Political hooligans remain in isolation in Adamawa to dodge capture

Political Hooligans in Adamawa have vanished from the avenues after the police started clampdown on them since the finish of May. The hooligans, who were a lasting component in government workplaces and political social occasions have dissolved away after a couple of them were captured for damaging Gov. Muhammadu Jibrila Bindow billboards.

The hooligans had allegedly annihilated the billboards raised to grandstand the senator's accomplishments, when they were banned from going into the Government House for occasions sorted out to stamp Democracy Day. 

The occurrence incited the police to capture the instigators while different hooligans went underground.

We are being arrested by the police and one has to stay away for things to cool down; some of us who have no godfather have left town for now,” said one of the thugs who spoke under condition of anonymity.

As indicated by him, he is presently a "decent kid" and asked the police to pardon them.

Alhaji Ahmed Lawal, the state APC Organizing Secretary, said the vanishing of the hooligans was a major help to government officials.

They have problem with the police and are keeping away to avoid arrest,” he said.

Lawal, who conveyed rice to penniless ladies at the gathering's secretariat, noticed that the appropriation exercise would have been upset by the hooligans.

Whenever reached, the Adamawa Police Command representative, SP Othman Abubakar affirmed the capture of a portion of the hooligans required in vandalizing the senator's announcements.

We have arrested some suspects, but we are not engaged in a mass clampdown of political thugs as being speculated,” Abubakar said.

 Before now political representatives abstain from coming to office to avoid the hooligans, who day by day thronged government workplaces for their offer of the riches.

Their behaviour is so disturbing and embarrassing that some of us have resolved to go to office to treat files after working hours,” a political appointee who preferred anonymity said.
