Clockwise, anticlockwise: BJP finds fault with Rahul Gandhi’s Aarti move

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi along with his sister and general secretary of Congress Priyanka Gandhi had held an Aarti with the Brahmapuri Ghat’s priest. The video of his Aarti went viral which triggered a row over the right method to perform Aarti by the Bharatiya Janata Party. The Aarti ceremony was held during Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra which recently entered Madhya Pradesh.

BJP Amit Malviya and Smriti Irani Trolled the grand old party’s leader Rahul Gandhi, however, the Congress party leaders also went on to counter the BJP’s claims which ended up in an online stir between the two partys.

BJP’s Amit Malviya on Saturday took to Twitter to upload a clip from Rahul Gandhi’s Aarti ceremony during the Bharat Jodo Yatra and remarked that Aarti is done clockwise and substantiated his claims by using alleged scientific reasoning which stated that the earth moves in a clockwise direction and hence environmental frequencies are in sync with the movement.

Malviya further termed Rahul Gandhi as an opportunist Hindu and claimed that he is making a spectacle of himself in public.

Union Minister Smriti Irani added to the trolling of Rahul Gandhi and tweeted a rotated photo of the Congress leader and stated that now she has corrected Rahul’s methods.

Congress’s retort, Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena’s remark on BJP’s trolling

Congress’s spokesperson Supriya Shrinate, infuriated by the claims of the BJP leaders went a step further and dug out an old video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi where he can be seen performing the Aarti the same way Rahul Gandhi was.

Shrinate in her Tweet further sarcastically questioned BJP’s Amit Malviya and Smriti Irani who had objected to the methods of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi.

Uddhav-led Shiv Sena’s Priyanka Chaturvedi also chimed in to question Smriti Irani’s take and attacked her for allegedly making fun of the Hindu Rituals.

Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra

Bharat Jodo Yatra spear-headed by Rahul Gandhi recently entered Mortakka Village in Madhya Pradesh and will head toward Rajasthan. The Bharat Jodo Yatra has covered 34 districts of 7 states.
