Ahmedabad airport has turned into a theatre after staff members along with random travellers break into Garbha.

A video of staff members’ Garba performance with travellers is doing rounds on social media. In the video, the staff members can be seen performing Garba at the Ahmedabad airport. The video shows a gleeful crowd participating in the dance performance in perfect synchronisation has won millions of hearts.

In just a few hours, the video has received 50 retweets and more than 100 likes.

The Staff members at the Ahmedabad airport came together for an event, surprising passengers by breaking out into a dance performance of Garbha to mark and celebrate the festival of Navaratri.

As per the airport officials, this was the best way to welcome the passengers as Gujarat is famous for Garba and Dandiya nights. There would be some passengers, flying out of the city and missing the Garba here, hence the idea is to compel them to do a few steps while waiting for their flight, It is being done with help of AAI and the Airlines Operator Committee, said the Airport official.

Garba, a form of dance performed during the nine-day Hindu festival Navaratri, is the main attraction of the city during Navratri and is performed in a grand way around the city of Gujratis.

Today is the 6th day of Sharad Navratri. The unique pandals to food stalls, each city has its own festivities with dandiya and Garba being played by millions of Indians every day.

The festival of Navratri comes with a promise of nine days filled with fun, frolic, dance and festivities all around. It is one of the most vivacious festivals celebrated in the country.
