Amid the huge Government Job craze in Bihar, there is a village where not even a single person has had a government job since independence but a Muzaffarpur village youth has broken this record.

Even after completing 75 years of independence, no one could get a government job in the entire village, but now a village youth, Rakesh Kumar, has broken this record after becoming a government teacher, the first government job since Independence.

A video of villagers’ response to Rakesh’s success in government jobs is doing rounds. In the video, a reporter can be seen asking the villagers about their feeling after getting the first government job holder in the village.

The video shows the villagers are happy and celebrating the success of one of their village youth in a government job.

The story is from Sohagpur village of Katra block in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district. The village has a population of around 2000 people.

Speaking to the reporter, a villager said Rakesh Kumar, son of late Ram Lal Chaudhary of the village, has achieved this position due to his true dedication and hard work. This is the first man since independence who has made the name of their village bright with his hard work and dedication, this will inspire other students too, another villager told the local reporter.

After school education at the village’s government school, Rakesh studied Master of Commerce (M.Com) from the Darbhanga university and then passed the B.ed examination from Rajasthan.

Kumar has been appointed in the primary school in Barkurwa village of Muzaffarpur district
