London director Magali Barbe published a five-minute short film Strange Beasts in the style of the “Black Mirror”, which just a week after the publication has already managed to collect more than 100,000 views.
The main character of the video is a man talking about the advantages of using smart lenses for Augmented Reality.
They project virtual objects on the objects of the real world: user can customize their appearance, choose a color, play with them, and in their own turn – they execute commands of the owner.
At some point a man meets his daughter and suggests that she go to the park. There they have fun, communicate, the girl plays with AR-animals, until it turns out that she is the same product of virtual Reality as animals.
