Whitby Pier at Sunset. Fuji X-T2, 10-24mm lens, ISO200, 1.1″ at f/11.0. Kase 0.6 Hard ND Grad filter and tripod.

The other day, I took a trip out to Whitby in the hope of capturing a Sunset. The weather forecast was promising and, on the drive over, the sky was wonderful. I couldn’t help but think to myself how lucky I had been.

But, it wasn’t to be. By the time I reached Whitby the sky was cloudy, and the weather had turned dull. I really thought it was going to rain. Fortunately, there were some hours before sunset and the clouds eventually broke a little. At one point it looked like we were in for a dramatic sunset but then it just seemed to fade away.

Despite the challenges of the weather and pier walkers I managed a couple of shots that I quite like.

I hope you have a great weekend.
