Preparing A Bicycling Event At Sungai Tiang, Kedah: Searching For Backroads...Paddy Fields

The mosque at Paya Rawa Village...4.00 pm and nobody is on the road..
A small road in the middle of the Paddy Fields...the road will get smaller still..

There is no space to park the car...but luckily no traffic either..
The Paddy fields as far as the eye can see..but the storm was catching up on the left.
Currently, I am trying to prepare a Bicycling Event at Sungai Tiang, Kedah. My objective is simple; choose the backroads that provides the best landscape view of Kedahan villages that comprises of paddy fields, Rubber Plantations, Water Channels and others. The places that we've discovered are small remote villages that are linked by small roads that goes on forever. We've chosen a route that will be about 40 kilometers or around 20 miles. A small car can be driven through, but pray that you don't meet another as there is no space.

We are still trying to determine the best place for stops and groupings. The only problem is most of these routes are not on the map and also not on the GPS map. We have to drive around and ask the locals for directions. But to me, it was worth the effort. The views are impressive and this is what I'm trying to share here.

This is a first parter where the spotlight is on the paddy fields. I will post an update on the water channels, rubber plantations and others soon.
