Dorset Kings Pavilion Christchurch Wedding Photography

Dorset Kings Pavilion in Christchurch again for this Wedding Photography commission, and an awesome day it was with clients who were friends of a previous couple whose wedding I had the pleasure of photographing a year or so before, I always love getting weddings from direct referrals as it just reinforces the good service I love to provide couples on their special day.

Bride prep for this day not at the hotel in Christchurch, which meant we had wedding cars to photograph and that New York Yellow cab which looked great and we had some fun with it in the photos. I was asked to cover Groom’s preparation mainly for this wedding with just a little bride prep which I could easily do on my own with no second photographer as Groom prep and Bride prep were so close together.

There were allot of details throughout the day to photograph and allot of them I photographed in context with wedding day aspects. The Bride & Groom photos around the ruins have come out particularly well due to mainly my off camera lighting which really has given these normal colour images a slight edge over what you may see in other photographs that are not mine. The Bride & Groom shots are also a great combination of natural poise of the couple and laughter and playing up to camera, we had fun, and thats the main key.

The venue decorations were some of the best I have seen and the perfect sunny day set them all off as well. Mike Judd the Toastmaster helped the day as usual go smoothly and we as always worked great as a team. The Kings Pavilion is the closest main wedding venue to where I live and it is awesome to be included on their website as one of the 6 or so on their”real wedding” feature.
