I Got My Camera Cleaned In Chandni Chowk, Here’s How It Went

I wanted to get my Camera Cleaned for quite some time. I use Sony Alpha A7III with a 28-70mm lens.

Some white residue had come upon the exterior rubber of the lens along with a few minor spots that were visible in the photos and videos I shot.

I asked around and posted Instagram stories to get recommendations of people I can get my Camera cleaned from. More importantly, trustworthy people.

Around 4-5 people replied to my Instagram stories and recommended the same shop in Chandni Chowk.

They had gotten their camera cleaned, and the broken lens fixed in a jiffy from them!

Camera sensor cleaning in Chandni Chowk, Delhi

I made and posted a mini vlog Instagram reel of the day I got my camera cleaned, check it out!

The cost of getting my camera’s sensor cleaned and the lens cleaned was ₹1,000 or ₹1,200, I don’t remember for sure

It took about 2 hours.

The service center I visited to get my camera cleaned

Name: Kapil Inderjeet Vohra

Address: 7-8M, Mezzanine floor, 6 Esplanade Road, Cycle Market, Chandni Chowk, Delhi-06

Contact: 987127689, +91 11-40563558

Website: www.camerarepairingindelhi.com

If you’re coming via Delhi metro, you’ve to get down at Lal Quila station and exit from gate no.1.

Here’s the Google Maps Location pin you can follow to reach their store.

To be able to keep basic care of your camera you can buy this camera cleaning kit. Although I would recommend not cleaning too much of it yourself.

The camera cleaning kit consists of 6 things: Air Blower, Cotton Swabs, Suede + Plush Micro-Fiber Cloth, Cleaning Brush, Cleaning Solution.

Also, on a quick note, I would strongly suggest you buy a lens hood.

Accidents can happen at any time. Every time my camera slipped from my hands (God knows how), my heart skips a beat.

But because I always had my lens hood on, the lens never bore any kind of damage.
