Hey everyone! With the Valentines coming up, pink and shades of red are all around so why not add a tint of Rosy Tones in your pictures as well? Even when it’s not Valentines, this is an aesthetically pleasing tone that will look great on your Instagram pictures and is really beneficial if you’re thinking of making a theme for your Instagram feed. I’ll explain to you how to achieve this effect in just 4 simple steps on Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. This can be done on the desktop version of Lightroom only.
Download Adobe Photoshop Lightroom
Following are the steps to get this look. All the changes made to the Highlights, shadows and whites can vary according to your picture, so feel free to go a bit low or high to find the one that suits your picture the best.
Or if you want the shortcut, just buy the ROSY TONES PRESET for $5 only!

- Firstly, crop and straighten the picture using the crop tool on the right panel. Being on the right panel, scroll down to Camera Calibration. Here, set the value of Red Primary to -52, Blue Primary to -81 and saturation of Blue Primary to +14. All of these will give your picture the rosy colour tones.
- As you can see, the picture that I chose is a bit dark so now we’ll work on making the colours pop and bring out the details hidden in the shadows. On the right panel, set the Highlights to -100, Whites to +60 and Shadows to +48.
Next up, we’ll enhance the flowers and the hand. On the right panel, you will see a circle without an arrow, that is the radial filter. Select it and draw a circle over the flowers and the hand. Check in the box that says invert mask so that our edits are now applied to the area inside the circle. In this radial filter, increase the sharpness to 74.
- Finally, to obtain a slight hint of faded look, reduce the contrast to -57 and increase the temperature to +10. Scroll down a little and on the right panel, you’ll see small squares of different colours. Select the green, set saturation to -100 and the saturation of blue to -67.
