A local primary school, Humberston Cloverfields Academy, contacted Haith’s to tell us about their exciting plans to build bird feeders, bird houses and to create new habitats to attract more birds.
We’d arranged for a variety of foods and feeders to be put aside ready for Mrs Whitfield to collect from our Factory Outlet Shop. Not only did Mrs Whitfield drop by, we also meet Mr Griffin and a few friendly classmates. We were kindly invited along to the school’s opening day so that we could witness the hard work that the teachers and children had put in following on from their involvement in the RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch.
Ellie and I had a lovely time visiting the children, admiring their displays and reading through their exercise books. It was very encouraging to see the children taking an interest in wild birds and nature – we were very impressed with their handmade nest boxes too.
Here are some pictures we’d like to share with you. Keep up the good work Humberston Cloverfields Academy!
