Best Friends Animal Society was started in 1984. They are working hard to end the killing of cats and dogs living in America’s shelters. The group runs the nation’s largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals and helps them find homes. One of the many success stories that comes to us from is about Trinity.

Trinity was battered, bruised and scarred from dogfighting. She was rescued and her body healed. But how can a dog who suffered long-term abuse ever trust humans again?
