• Make it fun and energetic.
• For serious concerns, call in the experts and enrol in a basic obedience class.
• Don’t be too embarrassed to find a solution. Even the most educated dog person can run into trouble.
• Be honest with yourself. If you notice your dog becoming aggressive around other dogs or children, it is your responsibly to seek help. If you become aware of unfavourable behaviour in your dog, seek professional help. Understanding why your dog is behaving in this way, and getting professional help will give you back control, regardless of the issue. Don’t be afraid to ask for help.

What is a Responsible Pet Owner?
Responsible pet owner ensure they look after their pets’ wellbeing and health at all times. They will do everything possible to raise a well-mannered and trained dog who can be easily integrated into society. They will uphold the good name of the dog by attempting to solve any problems that may arise; will socialise and understand their chosen breed; will never hit or hurt their beloved companion, and will love them until their last breath, regardless of smelly farts, old age or annoying habits.

Choosing A Trainer
Not only does it matter that you choose the right trainer, but also the correct method of training. Do not tolerate anyone hitting or hurting your animal. Training should be a positive experience for your dog. Again the word TEAM is very important. Look around, and ask for referrals and trust your instinct. Ensure your chosen obedience school or home-trainer is experienced with a good track record. Most importantly, be honest with your trainer. You cannot solve your dog’s secret problems if you are in denial about the issues at hand.
