Can Rabbits Eat Cucumbers?

Originally from South Asia, cucumbers are one of the most widely cultivated salad plants in the world. They grown in many different countries and cultures and are widely known for their taste and texture.

They are often eaten either on their own or in salads where they can be sliced of diced depending on what they are needed for.

They are also a popular food for animals to eat.

So can Rabbits Eat Cucumbers and if they can, how much of them can be eaten? Rabbits need a diet of 70-80% hay but this can be supplemented by vegetables and other foods as well, and as long as they don’t have any harmful nutrients in them they may like them.

Nutrients that are beneficial for rabbits are a good amount of protein, fat, fiber, calcium and phosphorus together as well as starch.

Cucumbers are fine for rabbits to eat, but don’t give them too much as it won’t be great for their tummies. Cut a few pieces up for them and put them in their bowl, but nothing more than that however they will munch it down.
