A Thankful Thursday tale....

Hi yer peepers, how's it hanging?

I only ask as I'm fairly sure wallpaper isn't supposed to look like that!

Now there's no need to look at me in that tone of voice, I do know about interior design you know, and have spent many happy hours snooz..... er.... cogitating the exact placement of soft furnishings achieve optimum decorative impact.

OK so some of those soft furnishings may have had legs and run around a bit, for a while, but it does make for a very organic free flowing environment. Purrs

What?

Hmm, I'll ignore that comment about there being more spare legs lying around than the Palace has chairs and tables, and revert to the matter to paw, namely: Are you sure that paper isn't the wrong way round?

I mean, nice though that embossing is, being all neutral in colour, isn't the whole point of it to have the coloured side facing INTO the room?

What's that?

Hmm, yes I can see how it might stop it dating so much, I mean nobody has dated you as you're way to beige too, except for the sun burnt bits. But if you will go sunbathing under the bread toaster that's what you get, well that and the sparrows eating the crumbs off your tummy. Mouses!

What?

Oh I see, NOT that sort of dating. Well, anyway are you sure it is supposed to be that way? Tradition usually dictates that it is hung from bottom to top, or in your case ol' lanky one, top to bottom. If it was meant to be hung left to right they'd have built ceilings and floors where the walls are!

And didn't we have a nice window thereabouts? These things don't go unnoticed you know, no ma'am, windows being as they are sort of eye-catching features on account of all the light that comes through.

Which is strange really since no sooner than the light comes in than peeps go putting up blinds and curtains to keep the light out, and then switch the electric lights on too. And then when there's no light, like at night, peeps go shutting them there curtains too. I ask you, is there any species so confused as peeps? No don't answer that, I just haven't got the time, looks like I need to make some phone calls to get the decorators in. Mouses!

Later that day........

Peepers, you know all these wonderful gifts that we got from going to Blog Paws, and all the contacts you made? You HAVE thanked them all, HAVEN'T you?

WHAT!

Look, being under the weather is NO excuse for not saying a big THANK YOU to all the Sponsors at BlogPaws, who kindly gave not only their time and resources, but also showed incredible generosity to pet charities with some truly life saving donations.

And we can't forget all the swag that we were all given. I am pleased to say that ERin v0.5 donated ours to the charity Averting-Cat-Astrophe via the delightful Cori Stanley.

Those great sponsors, and the staff at BlogPaws, made the whole wonderful conference possible and brought together some wonderful people. People that travelled across America, from Canada, New Zealand, UK and beyond to celebrate their love of pets and blogging.

What's that peep? I did get some gifts you say? From some new aunties you say?

I have new aunties?

REALLY!

You mean I just don't have to put up with you? Wow, that s awesome.

Not that you don't have some redeeming qualities, such as.... er.... well I will get back to you on that as I do rather think I need to open these gifts from my new family. Purrs

Oooh. I have lovely bags of presents, from Aunty Janet from 'The Cat on My Head' blog, Aunty Ellen from the gang at '15 And Meowing', Aunty Pattie aka TW at 'Stunning Keisha' blog, Aunty Dawn from 'Lola the Rescued Cat' blog and Aunty Jeanne from the Random Felines blog.

WOW this is so AWESOME! So many toys and a nip blanket too. I just don't know what to say!

What's that peepers? What do you mean, 'That will be the day!'

I think you're walking on thin ice there my peepio just be careful or you'll....

****** Cracking and splashing sound ******

Ooops, there goes that ice I mentioned!

Ah...... Oh well I did warn peep.

I do think I need to have a word with the Kraken about trying to freeze the moat for her summer ice skating bonanza. Clearly Mailmen on Ice will just have to wait till winter. purrs

Well I suppose I better be moseying along. Important things to do, people to Thank this Thursday...

For all my very dear pals, old and new, who looked out for and helped peep from arrival until departure from Blog Paws, who were so welcoming and made everything so very special, I give you my heartfelt thanks.

Such friendship means so much, especially when far from home, you are all VERY SPECIAL indeed.
