Saving Extra Money Monthly is a very easy thing. The word for today is : SACRIFICE! In order to save money, you will have to start by sacrificing some of the things you love to do every month but could probably do at your home. It might not be lavish like before but trust me you will see a dramatic change in your pockets.
Eating out (FAST FOOD, RESTAURANTS, ETC.) – Now we all love to eat out. It’s evident because McDonalds is a Multi-Billion dollar company. I understand that eating out is convenient but it’s hurting your Bank Account. Here’s how you can change it :
Start by meal prepping every Sunday or Saturday. If the reason that you’re eating out is solely based on convenience than be better prepared. Make a weeks full of meals, snacks, and lunches for your Family on your designated day and enjoy your dollars in a college fund or savings account. This is also a great way to manage your eating habits and stop the family from over eating or eating things that just aren’t healthy for them.
Pampering (Nails, Hair, etc.) – Even though you might love getting your no chip mani and pedi, it just might be costing you that vacation you want your family to go on. These pampering things can rack up. Instead of spending almost two hundred dollars on these pampering must haves try some of these tips :
Youtube is the land of how-to’s. You can search how to do any hairstyle or a home manicure and results will pop up within seconds. Doing these things can guarantee an extra two hundred dollars monthly. You never know, you might just enjoy the process.
Limited activities (shopping, movies, bowling, etc.) – Activities outside of work are needed, especially with your family. Now I would limit multiple activities a month to one thing a month. Here’s how you do it:
Set out a specific date where everyone’s schedule is free. Have the family make a vote on what to do. Maybe go to the city for shopping, limiting everyone to one or two items to buy and also having a price range can help too. You might even enjoy going to the movies. Price these activities ahead, so you know if everything is within the budget. Also to save extra, plan a movie night at home. And what about food? Order a couple of pizzas and pick up some sodas at the supermarket and you’re set.
Anything you can think of might be hindering your bank account. Saving extra money can be a no brainer. List everything you can alter to save a little extra money. And work your way up. You can do it.
