Popular Myths of Aesthetics Medicine debunked

Many people have the misconception that Aesthetic doctors do only botox and fillers. This is not true. Below are some of the Popular Myths I will like to address.

Myth Number 1 - We inject botox and fillers all the time.

Not true at all. Much as most Chicken Rice stall sells not only chicken rice but other things as well. Many aesthetics doctors do laser treatment for pigmentation, birthmarks, mole and tattoo removal. We treat patients with acne, scars, rashes, hair loss, weight loss as well as skin laxity. There are so many things we can do, and that's why I am writing to tell you about it.

Myth number 2 - We see glamorous celebrities or rich tai tais every day.

Absolutely no. We see people from all walks of life and it's the same treatment for everyone. We cater to your budget and address your concerns to the best of our abilities.

Myth number 3 - Most patients spend thousands of dollars at your clinic.

This really depends the treatment you are looking for. Unlike beauty salons, there is no hard sell of packages. We are transparent in our pricing and there are no hidden costs. Patient outcome and satisfaction is our primary concern. After all, we are licensed professionals.

Myth number 4 - Your skincare products are expensive.

It depends on how you see it. Prescription creams and products are formulated by pharmaceutical companies with good reputation. These creams are usually used under medical supervision and are effective. If you develop an allergic reaction to it, we will review and treat you accordingly. Some of the OTC creams from cosmetic lines are, in fact, more expensive. Many of these products have additives to make them smell nicer. You may also be paying that extra dollar for their TV and magazine advertisements.

Myth number 5 - You should really wait until you are past your 40s or even 50s before you embark on aesthetics treatment.

This is really not good advice. Sun damage is accumulative and ageing is a gradual process. You should really start to take care of your skin when you are young. If you only have a few freckles, you should start to treat early and not wait until you have more. The key to maintenance of youth is to start early. Just like how you take good care of your car so that it lasts longer and not give you more problems towards the final years of use.

There is no deny that aesthetics treatment are getting more Popular these days. However, moderation is the key. There is no magic pill which can reverse the signs of ageing. But nonetheless, age slowly and gracefully.
