My First WORLD PICNIC DAY (Dal Lake)

Guess where I was on World Picnic Day, 18th June?

Floating on water.....in a 'shikara'

Moma says that shikara is a boat which is most popular in Srinagar on the Dal Lake

But how do you think I had a picnic on a boat?

Dal Lake is like a shopping mall on water

You can buy jewelry and clothes as you float

Every mini shop is on the shikara

And there is plenty of chips and kurkure for fussy boys like me
I could not believe that there is a kitchen on the shikara too

Moma was Busy feeding me kebab and chicken

While DC (Daddy Cool) was busy monkeying around

There is green-green grass on the water too and pink colour flowers called water lilies

There are birds which I have never seen before, so I don't know what to tell you about them. But they are so
amading (amazing) !

After an hour we reached an island called Chaar Chinar. It means four Chinar trees. These trees are famous in Srinagar and is the state Tree of Jammu and Kashmir.

It has pointed leaves. Moma says these will turn fiery red in autumn.

There are lot of fun things to do on Dal Lake like water skiing and shoomin (swimming). I wanted to jump in  for some splash-splash too !

After a very busy picnic, I dozed off with my BMW in the shikara
And shikara uncle decided to catch some fresh fish for his dinner

Thank you  Moma and DC for another cool day in my life
