Tooth Fairy Excuses

Santa is on top of things. He’s never late and he manages to get to everyone’s house in a single night.

But the Tooth Fairy is a little different. Sometimes she doesn’t make her visit on the first night a tooth is lost.

Here are some reasons you can use to explain why the Tooth Fairy forgot or fell fast asleep before she could do her duties or didn’t happen to have any cash in the house.

It was her day off. Santa only makes deliveries one night a year. You can’t really expect the Tooth Fairy to head out every single night, can you?

That was Australia’s night. I’m working on the theory that there are 7 continents and each is assigned its own day. With the day for Antarctica being her day off.

She’s waiting for you to lose another tooth. She knows you have another wiggly one that you’re about to lose, so she’s just waiting and will take them both in one trip.

You slept with your bedroom door locked. She couldn’t get in. Yes, she can get in the house itself without a key but bedroom doors stump her.

Your room is a disaster. You aren’t really expecting her to get to your pillow if she can’t even make it across the obstacle course of all your toys on the floor, are you?

You were still awake when she got here. You really should have gone to bed and to sleep when I told you to.

The Tooth Fairy was all out of pixie dust. She couldn’t fly last night. But I bet she got some dust today and will be here tonight. Unless the wicked queen stole it all and then it might be a while.

She couldn’t find your tooth. Where did you put it? Oh, well, let’s set it over here so she’s sure to see it.
