Remember when New Year’s Eve was a time to get all dressed up and to go to fantastic parties with all of your friends and stay up late, saying goodbye to one amazing year and hello to another?

Yeah, I barely remember that, too. I’ve got kids, so I don’t really know that life, anymore! Now my NYE plans are focused on things my kids will enjoy, and also on celebrating before midnight because I don’t know about your kids, but for mine, staying up late does NOT mean that they will sleep in to make up for it.

So how does one ring in the new year at 8pm instead of midnight? Well Netflix streaming services have several options to help you out (9, to be exact!). You can watch fun 2 1/2 minute shorts that each include a NYE countdown and celebration with Beat Bugs, Skylanders, King Julian, Troll Hunters, True, Word Party, Pororo, Puffin Rock or Larva. If you’ve got an extra rambunctious little one, go ahead and watch all 9!
