| Merry Go 'Round at Magic Kingdom Say what you want about "Keeping Up With the Kardashians", those folks know how to take great vacations! While our vacations aren't on the same scale, I do try to create opportunities for my kids to have memorable experiences. I have also been surprised by the growth that I have witnessed my kids experience while on Vacation. I love this shot because it brings back so many happy memories. First, it was taken at Disney World, "the most magical place on earth". Second, it embodies everything that a Disney vacation is about. It shows a happy kid, decked out in Disney garb (check out his Mickey Mouse outfit!) enjoying the rides in Magic Kingdom that were created just for them. Third, it reminds me about how on this trip, my son started to advocate for himself. He started requesting the rides he wanted, connecting with the Disney characters and realizing that his role and wants in the family mattered. Vacations matter. I hope this image makes you smile, and that you have been making fabulous family memories too! |
