Not everyone like the semi-upholstered look like this or this. For many, a fully upholstered glider is the way to go.

What We Love
First of all, it is of course that the DaVinci Olive is fully upholstered. Not just the glider itself, but the accompanying ottoman is also fully padded.
The upholstery used is easy to spot clean and is free of chemical flame retardants.
Likewise, it is free of polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) and formaldehyde so you can rest assured that this is a safe glider that meets all CA TB117-2013 flammability requirements.
Aside from an aesthetic point of view (for those that prefer a softer outlook), one good thing about your glider being fully upholstered is that it protects your little one from any sharp edges when s/he plays around in the nursery when they are older.
Likewise for yourself, especially during those late night feedings when you probably have to nurse in the dark.
Swivel & Glide
Another thing that we like is that this baby glider swivels 360 degree as well, thanks to this metal base (pictured left) that allows a smooth and gentle motion.
This is rather uncommon because while most glider + ottoman sets glide in a forward and backward motion, not many is equipped with a swivelling function. The DaVinci Olive here does both - glide and swivel.
And it does this very well because it doesn't squeak or make any noise. Rarely would you see that from gliders!
Comfortable High Back
If you are a tall person, good news - this is a high back glider rocker.
Users of over 6' have no problem getting good back support and if you have done your research, you will know that insufficient back support is a common issue amongst recliners.
Not with this one here.
In fact, it even comes with a lumbar pillow so you can get additional lower back support if required.
If you're on the short side, you can even get adequate neck and head support. Otherwise, simply put a pillow atop it and it works out fine.
No Assembly Required
And how can we forget this aspect of the DaVinci Olive?
Perhaps one of its biggest appeal, this glider set is fully assembled in the box when delivered so you wouldn't need to do anything besides unboxing and moving it to your desired spot.
No doubt it saves you the hassle of having to go through pages of manuals as well as eliminates the risk of doing the wrong step so this is definitely a plus point to many.

Things to Note
One thing to keep in mind is that the DaVinci Olive ottoman does not glide nor swivel. Just like any ordinary ottoman, it stays stationary in place.
Some prefer it this way actually as all they need is just some place to kick up their feet. When not required, they can use it as a stool or a surface to lay stuffs on - some even use it as a side table!
Of course, if this is not your preference and you'd very much like your ottoman to glide in tandem with your chair, then this will be a better choice for you.
There may also be some who find that the chair seating is not very big. We'd say it is a comfortable fit for most people but if you'd like something wider, then perhaps the Ruby model or this one here would be more suitable.
Also, keep in mind that the chair can be a tad heavy since it is already fully assembled in the box so make sure you get an extra pair of hands to help you before moving it.
