30 Day Me-Time Challenge

Sometimes it’s such a struggle to balance everything and everyone. We are usually running on very little sleep while trying to remember and do all the things to keep our family fed, happy and healthy and our homes clean each day. Some days I feel like a mom robot on autopilot and lose connection with myself then end up feeling burnt out..

I am beginning to realize that when we prioritize ourselves and actually do things to make ourselves happy in a way that’s not attached to being a mom, we can really honor our true selves. Let’s be honest: it’s not easy to take time to meet our own needs. We feel guilty for leaving other things undone..but self care is holistic and will allow us to be more patient, happier and more present in life. 

I am going on a 30 day me-time Challenge to recharge and focus on staying positive. I will create a list of activities I love to do to choose from. In addition to choosing one activity to do, I will also write in a journal focusing on what I am grateful for. It takes at least 21 days to make something a habit. My goal at the end of this challenge is that it will become a habit for me to prioritize self care during my day no matter how busy or crazy the day looks! 

There is a difference between surviving and thriving in life. Choose to thrive.

  • Read a book
  • Paint your nails
  • Curl your hair
  • Do yoga 
  • Do your make up 
  • Go online shopping
  • Bake your favourite treat 
  • Meditate
  • Dress out of your pjs and into one of your favourite outfits
