Kareena Kapoor Khan has a clear plan about the studies of her little munchkin Taimur. She wants to send her child to a hostel in the primary class itself. How many of us know Kareena Kapoor Khan was a Harvard student and had studied Micro computers and Information Technology there? She was a studious girl. Kareena joined Mumbai’s Mithibai College to pursue a degree in commerce. She discontinued this course and switched to law. In between, she also enrolled into Harvard University for a three-month summer course in microcomputers.

While we know that Kareena Kapoor Khan has already planned to send Taimur Ali Khan to a hostel for his primary studies, we didn’t really know what prompted her to make that decision.
Saif Ali Khan has completed his studies from Winchester College in UK and Kareena, too, is not behind. However, she regrets skipping her education and often wonders if she has a thing to be proud of, when Saif discusses academics with his friends. Kareena has studied at the prestigious Harvard Business School in USA and this is one of those rare facts that many of us didn’t really know.
In one of her earlier interactions on Rendezvous with Simi Garewal in 2002, Bebo had revealed that she studied Micro computers and Information Technology for three months at Harvard after she dropped her plans of pursuing a law degree in Mumbai. It was never intentional on her part to be a part of this prestigious institute but she just went ahead and enrolled herself.
A Kapoor girl, going to Harvard for a course was definitely a big deal for her entire family. Kareena’s mother and sister were against her decision and she had to fill in her own forms, give an interview and enrol herself. They were worried as to how she will survive for three long months in USA but Kareena, being stubborn as always, was quite determined. Eventually things were sorted and Bebo completed her summer school, making the Kapoor family beam from ear to ear.
It was probably for the first time when someone from Bollywood’s influential family was going abroad for studies. Kareena recalls how she was the apple of everyone’s eyes when they learnt about her Harvard admission. According to the Ki & Ka actress, everyone in her family, whom she knew, had failed in 8th and 10th std repeatedly. So her admission was a matter of huge pride. It was even important than her winning an Oscar! Though her intentions of studying at Harvard were to chill and have a good time, Kareena found herself struggling till 4 am in the library to complete her assignments.
However, her fascination with computers soon faded and she no longer wanted to pursue a career in the same field. She reveals how she made her parents buy her a laptop but never really used it. Fortunately for us, Kareena was never a computer geek. Guess she was always destined to rule our hearts as a successful Bollywood actress.
