Bleeding down there even when its not your period? Here’s what it means!

Staying healthy and fit is every woman’s goal. Well, but what about your lady parts? They need some extra care too. From itching due to bikini waxing, dryness, pain, and Bleeding, there are various signs that indicate your dear vagina is under trouble. Read on and watch out!

1.  Vaginal numbness

If you are cycling too often or if it’s a part of your everyday cardio in the gym, you are bound to experience some numbness down there. The best way to deal with this, is padding the cycle you ride. This gives some extra cushion and support to your vagina and prevents numbess and soreness.

2.  Odorous vaginal discharge

Vaginal discharge is very common, especially before or after your periods. However, when this is accompanied by a foul odour, it calls for some concern. Discharge in the odour could mean a bacterial infection and can be treated with antibiotics. The vagina is usually acidic, in order to prevent infections. This in turn curbs bacterial infections in a natural way. Ensure you do not douche your lady parts with perfumed soaps or liquids, as this can hinder the PH balance. Practice safe sex, as bacteria and virus, can find their way easily into your vagina and cause infections. However, if the odour does worsen, discuss with your doctor.

3.  Itchiness

Vaginal itchiness normally has a lot to do with bacterial or yeast infection. This could also be because of the soap or liquid wash you are using down there. If all the tests come normal, then it surely could be because of your scented soap or wipes. Stay off it for a while, as they do more harm than good.

4.  You bleed, but its not your period

Bleeding right after sex is normal. However, if the bleeding continues even after this, it is a sign of concern. This could be a sign of hormonal imbalance, early pregnancy or a vaginal infection. And if the bleeding is accompanied with a discharge, it could be a sign of a sexually transmitted disease. Do not shy away by keeping it to yourself. Instead, visit your doctor as early as possible.

5.  Vaginal dryness

Vaginal dryness is a very common condition among women. This could cause pain, itching, burning sensation etc. This can be attributed to various factors like hormonal imbalance, menopause, stress, anxiety, irritants like soaps and liquids and even insufficient arousal. And the treatment depends on the cause behind it.
