If you have been sucking in your tummy or holding your breathe every time you wore your little black dress, it’s time to get a little more serious about your tummy fat! Losing belly fat has more to do than just sweating it out in the gym. Apart from cutting down on refined and packaged foods, binging on these super fruits will help you melt away that muffin top in no time.

1.     Avocado

If you have not included this humble, green fruit in your daily diet, then you definitely are missing out on some good health. Avocados are packed with vitamins K, C, E, B5, and B6, and they have been found to have more potassium than bananas. Studies reveal that avocados help to melt away tummy fat if consumed regularly. So, smash it and use it as a dip, top it off on your roast or simply throw them into your salad.

2.    Berries

Berries have a high nutritional value. They are also high in fiber and help to keep the tummy full for Longer Hours. This also means you curb yourself from binging on deep fried snacks. Blueberries and raspberries provide a boost to your Metabolism, thanks to an ingredient known as anthocyanin. A cup of blueberries has about 84 calories per cup, while blackberries are 62 calories, and raspberries scores with 64 calories per cup. Now, that’s a healthy way to satiate your sweet craving without fearing the weighing scale! Top your breakfast cereal or yogurt with berries!

3.     Pomegranate

Pomegranates are high in antioxidants and also boost metabolism. And when your metabolism is high, fat burning happens more effectively. One word of caution: people with a sensitive stomach might want to skip having the seeds in the fruit.

4.     Apples and pears

Apples and pears contain a water soluble fibre called pectin, which prevents fat retention. And if you are peeling the skin, stop that right away, because that is where pectin is. Eating one full apple can keep you fuller for longer hours. Not to mention, apples are easy to eat and can be carried along anywhere. You possibly cannot sit in the park with an avocado!

5.     Oranges

Oranges are an excellent source of vitamins. It boosts metabolism and also improves cardiovascular disease, eye disease, stroke, and even reducing early signs of ageing. While vitamin C might not play a direct role in weight loss, it helps to produce molecules which are used for metabolism. So, in case you are low on vitamin c, your body might not know what to do with the stored fat. And this is what causes build up of fat in the abdominal area.
