These parents from Bollywood chose really unique names for their kids! Take a look, and be inspired!

In Bollywood, nothing is ordinary. Naturally, when our celebs thought of naming their babies, they went beyond the ordinary and gave inspired names to their little bundles of joy. Take a look at the unique baby names in Bollywood.

1. Gauri and Shahrukh Khan

Gauri and Shahrukh Khan have two Children, and all three have pretty unique names. Their eldest is called Aryan, which means ‘descended from the Arya race’ and even ‘strong’ in Persian. His Daughter is called Suhana, meaning ‘charming’ in Urdu. His third child is called AbRam, and about him the Badshah of Bollywood said: His name is based on a variation of Prophet Abraham. And I liked the connotation that it’s kind of a secular name. We are a Hindu-Muslim family so to say, and I want my children to grow up without any difference of opinion in the name

2. Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan’s son was a star from the moment he was born. They named him Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi, which means ‘iron’ in Persian, and instantly were trolled for choosing the name of a Turco-Mongol invader and mass murderer. But here’s what daddy Saif said about the name: I should have added a disclaimer, as they do in the movies, that any resemblance to any person, living or dead, is purely coincidental…!

3. Manyata and Sanjay Dutt

Manyata and Sanjay Dutt’s son is called Shahraan, which can be broken down to Shah (royal) and Raan (knight), giving him a very regal name. Their daughter is called Iqra, which means ‘to recite’ in Hebrew. Sanjay Dutt and his wife picked out the names when they were on holiday in Egypt, and wanted to name the son with an S initial in keeping with the Sunil Dutt, Sanjay Dutt names before him. Their daughter is called Iqra, because both Sanjay Dutt’s mother and wife were Muslims and n the Quran the sura 96 begins with the word Iqra.

4. Twinkle Khanna and Akshay Kumar

They have two children: Aarav and Nitara Khanna. Their son is called Aarav, which means ‘in high regard of’ while their daughter is Nitara, which means ‘having deep roots’ in Sanskrit. However, here is the fun part: a vampire in the game series Mortal Kombat also goes by the same name, though we doubt the parents knew that. Interestingly, Nitara was given the surname of her mother, instead of her father, as a tribute to Rajesh Khanna, Twinkle’s father.
