From wearing their designer best to hosting the most lavish pre-Diwali bashes, from conducting Lakshmi-Ganesh pujas to organising card parties for close friends, Bollywood celebs sure know how to celebrate Diwali in style. Be it Khan’s Diwali daawats or Ekta Kapoor’s Card Party, Bollywood ensures that they bring in the festival of lights with much fervour. The parties are much-coveted affairs and entry is by invitation only. These parties are also an excuse for actors to meet, socialise and bond. However, this year Aamir Khan and Abhishek Bachchan have decided to throw their Diwali parties on the same night. Quoting a source, a BT report says that now even the guests are used to it. Even last year they started partying first at Bachchan’s home and continued it in Aamir’s place. While it still remains to be seen as to who attends which do, the report speculates that this year Shah Rukh Khan and other members of the Happy New Year team may stay faithful to Abhishek and not go to Aamir’s bash at all.

The beauty took to Instagram to shares pictures from the party where she’s seen clad in a dark blue lehenga choli and handsome hubby looks dapper in a traditional coat with dhoti of a similar blue colour. The two look amazing while twinning. In one of the pictures, the couples even stuck a pose with Ekta and thanked her for the amazing evening with a caption that read, “Thank you @ektaravikapoor for an awesome celebration #diwalinights.”
The festival of lights has begun and so is the trail of extravagant Diwali bashes in Bollywood. After filmmaker Ramesh Taurani’s grand Diwali party, TV Czarina Ekta Kapoor threw a star-studded bash last night. With Bollywood and TV stars in their full attendance, her residence sparked more than the lantern and diyas of the entire nation put together. Right from Mouni Roy and Arjun Bijlani to Karan Johar and Sonam Kapoor, everybody made their presence felt at the do.
Rumoured couple Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra also made their appearance at the bash and were seen chatting and laughing together in the pictures amidst reports of their alleged break-up. Sushant Singh Rajput, along with his ‘Kedarnath’ co-star Sara Ali Khan was seen entering the party together. Dressed in their traditional best for the occasion, the party was indeed a sight for sore eyes. Also seen at the grand event were names like Sonakshi Sinha, Swara Bhaskar, Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar with wife Twinkle, Ileana D’Cruz and others.

The stars can be seen busy either hosting a Diwali bash or attending one. Filmmaker Ramesh Raurani hosted a star-studded party on October 15, 2017, at his residence. Celebrities like Salman Khan, Kriti Sanon, Kabir Khan, Soha Ali Khan along with Kunal Kemmu, Tusshar Kapoor, and others made their presence felt.
While Kriti sizzled with her shimmering pink attire with long jhumkas, Salman Khan attended the party in casual grey t-shirt and black pants. The new mother in town, Soha along with husband looked pretty in her peach ensemble. Dressed in their traditional best, the stars posed for the shutterbugs gracefully.
Diwali is less than a week away and the festive fever seems to have set in already. It’s that time of the year when everyone is seen dressed to the nines, attending Diwali parties at their friends’ houses. B-town celebs are no alien to such recreation times. Recently, tinsel town celebs namely, Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Akshay Kumar with wife Twinkle Khanna, Arpita Khan Sharma with husband Aayush Sharma were spotted arriving at a Diwali bash in the city.
While Ranbir was seen getting out of his car, clad in a black kurta, Arjun opted for a blue kurta. Akshay and Twinkle were seen twinning in off-white while Arpita Khan and hubby wore casuals.
The perfect masti: Bollywood’s perfectionist ensures that his Diwali parties are fun. Aamir, who has just returned from Cannes, will be hosting the yearly bash at his Bandra home on October 23. While he is yet to send the invites, a TOI report says that Ranbir Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and the twins Amin and Karim Haji are on the guest list. His director dosts Rajkumar Hirani, Karan Johar, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Ashutosh Gowariker and Ayan Mukerji are also likely to be present. Media reports suggest that Aamir’s house is decorated beautifully and his guests are served home-cooked food. He is a very good host who ensures that his guests are comfortable. Aamir also organises all-night long card sessions.Guests who made to the guest list last year were Vidya Balan and husband Siddharth Roy Kapur, Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma, Karan Johar, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, nephew Imran with wife Avantika, Sharman Joshi and Raju Hirani.
Bachchan’s classy do: When it comes to organising lavish but classy Diwali dos, no one can beat the Bachchans. Jaya Bachchan personally takes care of the party – right from the guest list to decorations and the menu. It has been reported that though the Bachchans like to keep it traditional for Diwali, they ensure that every product used is eco-friendly. Some of the regulars at this Diwali party are the Kapoors, Roshans, Shweta Bachchan-Nanda and family, Shah Rukh Khan and wife Gauri, Deepika Padukone, Goldie and Sonali Behl, Kangna Ranaut, Farhan and Adhuna Akhtar, Honey Irani, Zoya Akhtar, Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi, Anil Kapoor and family.
