Social media giant Twitter's unique USP, the 140-Character Limit is all set to disappear on September 19, 2016. Now, Twitterati will get more space to write and communicate. Despite this change, Micro-blogging website Twitter will stop counting media attachments, including images like GIFs, polls, usernames, videos and even quoted tweets won't be included in this (140 character) count.
The change was announced earlier this year, by CEO Jack Dorsey, who said the move was one of the biggest changes in recent times. He claimed the move would give the "complete expressiveness of 140 characters".
"Twitter first announced plans to stop counting extras like photos, videos, and user polls toward the limit back in May, but gave no firm date on when the shift would occur," TheVerge reported on Monday.
In the beginning of this year, there were rumors regarding Twitter ultimately getting rid of the 140-character limit but Jack cleared the air by calling it a "beautiful constraint" that the company can never lose.
But Thankfully, the big key fact is that Twitter will have its voice despite these updates whether it is changing in feed, Introduction of Polls, and much more. I’m wondering what other people think about this update. Tell me about your experience in the comments below. I am taking blogging to next level with Blogchatter and MyFriendAlexa
