We have welcomed two new members to our team in recent weeks with Beth Bishop joining as account exec and Lucinda Marshall coming in as junior account exec.
Let’s find out a little more about each of them. First up is Beth:
Name: Beth Bishop
What were you doing before joining London PR? I spent the past three years as media officer for Sports National Governing Body British Taekwondo.
Favourite things about PR?
So far I would have to say that my top Favourite thing is simply, the diversity of accounts we work on.
It makes for really interesting work when it constantly varies from day to day. I really like to apply myself to different subject matters and try to make the most of a story.
Interviewing and speaking to our clients about their products and vision is also something I Love to do. I’m excited to do more of this.
Favourite band / song:
I don’t know that I necessarily have a favourite band or song. I like many different kinds of artists and music.
Quite randomly, I never tire of Eddie Grant’s Electric Avenue? Random favourite.
Favourite book?
It’s too hard to pick one favourite book.
I’m a bit of a Victorian literature geek though and love all the classics, like A Picture of Dorian Grey, and Sense and Sensibility.
Embarrassingly though I should admit that one of my favourite books ever is I, Partridge – Alan Partridge’s book.
I’m a huge Alan Partridge fan, the book is the funniest thing I’ve ever read.
Movie?
I like older movies and I really like John Candy.
Planes, Trains and Automobiles is a favourite.
Most famous person you’ve ever met?
In my last role I was really fortunate to meet and interview our Olympic Taekwondo Team.
Two-time gold medal winner Jade Jones and 2012 bronze and 2016 silver medalist Lutalo Muhammad.
If you weren’t in PR what would you be?
I think wherever I would be I would definitely still be writing. I’d still be in communications because that’s what I enjoy.
I’d definitely still be visiting my three horses, going outside a lot and being a general hippy / animal lover.
Secret fact about you?
I cry at pretty much every animated children’s movie I watch.

Name: Lucinda Marshall
What were you doing before joining London PR? I recently graduated with a degree in Public Relations from the University of Lincoln.
Favourite things about PR? That everyday is different! I also enjoy working on the social media side of PR, as I am a huge fan of Twitter and Instagram.
Favourite band / song: Anything by The 1975. I also love Arctic Monkeys and a band called M83.
Favourite book? Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
Movie? The Devil Wears Prada
Most famous person you’ve ever met? I met Prince Edward once.
If you weren’t in PR what would you be? I was originally going to study Drama at University- so maybe I’d be doing something in the arts? Either that or doing something fashion-related.
Secret fact about you? I love music festivals (I went to five this year). I am also love anything Disney-related and worked at Disney World in Florida as part of an internship last summer.
