YouTube Launches New Features for Shorts

YouTube has launched new creation tools for Shorts. The new tools are rolling out to all US users and adding four new features. The new features include 60 second recordings, shorts video filters, video captions and there’s now a shorts tab on the homepage.

Display Creatives with Multiple .html Files Not Supported

Display creatives with multiple .html files will no longer be supported in Display & Video 360 and Campaign Manager 360. Starting next week Studio Creatives with multiple .html files will not be available for export from Campaign Manager and starting June 21, Campaign Manager 360 and Display & Video 360 will no longer support creatives with more than one .html file.

Manage Billing Directly in Campaign Manager 360

Google is rolling out a new Billing section in Campaign Manager 360 to view and edit billing details and settings directly. The new section includes options to view your billing profile, edit invoice options, view and download invoices and transactions, and edit invoice delivery options.

Google My Business Insights Now Showing Booking Data

Google My Business Insights is now showing bookings reporting data. The report shows users who booked reservations, appointments, etc. with you, via Google Maps or Google Search local.

Google Events Enhancement Report Updated

Google has updated its Google Search Console enhancement report for event structured data to show more errors. Google said it changed how it evaluates and reports errors for event structured data in the enhancement reports in Search Console, so you may begin seeing more errors in this report.

Search Console is now able to detect Event entities at all hierarchy levels, not just at the root level. Google also said errors in recommended properties are now flagged as warnings rather than errors.

New Schema Markup Validator Tool

It’s been several months since Google said it would deprecate the Google structured data testing tool. Now, Schema.org has launched its schema markup validator tool at validator.schema.org. The tool will help you validate your structured data on your site that’s used for general purposes, outside of the Google rich results testing tool.

Updates to YouTube Community Posts

YouTube has updated a number of features around community posts. Creators can now see data on how many views their posts are receiving in YouTube Analytics. More images can also be added to community posts and iOS users can now schedule community posts in advance.
